There are 100 or more varieties of arthritis that can affect the knee and other joints. There are other rheumatic diseases that can affect the knee and cause knee pain, such as gout and lupus.

Chondromalacia is another disease that can affect the knee. This is a disease that occurs most often in young adults. It is characterized by the softening of the articular cartilage of the kneecap. It usually occurs from overuse of muscles, injury to the muscle, tendon or joint, muscle weakness or misalignment of the patella. In Chondromalacia the knee cap rubs roughly across the lower end of the thigh bone instead of smoothly sliding over it. It usually occurs when a injury tears off a piece of the knee cap or bit of bone.

Meniscal injuries are also a form of knee pain. If the knee cap is rotated while bearing a lot of weight, the menisci can be damaged or injured. This usually happens in sports and can be the cause of considerable pain. A large tear in the mensci can leave it hanging on by a thread of cartilage.

Knee pain is also often the result of sprains or cruciate ligament injury. This is also most often caused by a sporting event or a trauma like an accident.

Knee pain is most often characterized by sufferers as a dull, aching pain around or under the knee cap.
testicle pain

Do you remember those days as a kid pasting newspaper clippings onto paper and bundling dozens of papers together with some fancy ribbon or a string? Do you also remember all of your hard work falling apart two months later?

Now there’s a grown up way to save and preserve your treasures: Scrapbooking.

The concept behind scrapbooking hasn’t changed since grade school. You can still place photographs, newspaper clippings, poems, and tickets into your scrapbook to display and preserve your memories.

However, scrapbooking techniques and tools have matured substantially since you were a kid. Scrapbooking albums have replaced the messy bundles of paper. These albums are generally bound or placed in a three-ring binder. In this way, your hard work won’t fall apart. Furthermore, new specialized covers allow protection from the outside elements.

Paste is also a thing of the past. Specialized glue dots and two-sided tape makes mounting your treasures simple and mess free. Many of these products are so strong that you can now decorate your scrapbook pages with ribbons, feathers, flowers, or even metal charms.

Due to these new techniques and tools, the uses of scrapbooking have expanded drastically.
card making

But, installing a carbon monoxide alarm in your home is the best way to ensure your protection against this odorless poison.

A carbon monoxide alarm works by constantly monitoring you home for dangerous levels of carbon monoxide, and if it discovers these levels, the carbon monoxide alarm sounds a signal and possibly even alerts the fire department. Air-borne substances and air temperature levels don’t cause false alarms, because they have no effect on a carbon monoxide alarm.

When shopping for an alarm, remember to only purchase a carbon monoxide alarm that is approved by the Underwriters Laboratories (UL). A carbon monoxide alarm can have many different features, most of which are optional. The one must-have carbon monoxide alarm feature is AC power with a battery backup.
roofer ottawa

The entry to most dry suits is closed by a waterproof zip commonly across the shoulders but, sometimes diagonally across the chest. The latter allowing you to don the suit and seal it yourself. A growing feature now in dry suits is a pair of braces. This allows the suit to be a bit longer in the body to allow for movement yet reduces the low hanging crotch so often seen on older style dry suits.
Most dry suit manufacturers will make a made to measure for the same price as an off the peg so make sure your suit fits as this represents a major investment in your diving comfort.

Some people are wearing several silver bracelets at a time, to get a layered look, but because it is silver it doesn?t look too heavy. Not only does jewelry make you look great, it also makes you feel great! Silver jewelry is a great buy for anyone because it looks good on all people of either sex, no matter what your age or complexion.

Jewelry makes a great gift for anyone, men, women, and even children. Simple jewelry can be a great way to say thanks or just let someone know that you appreciate them while that same jewelry or more costly jewelry can allow you to tell someone how much you love them and want them in your life. If you have a child in your life that loves jewelry and you want to give them their first piece, a charm pendant or bracelet is a great place to start.
animal rubber bands

Some of the basics in any job search plan include (1) A focused, clear resume; (2) Demonstrated examples of the skills and experience needed to do the job; (3) Finding and applying for open jobs; (4) Networking skills; (5) Interviewing skills (6) Negotiating skills (including closing the deal).

In addition, I find that most job seekers fall short in two other very critical areas during their job search.

* Failing to preparing fully for the interview

* Not ensuring that their ?soft? skills (which include communication, good listening skills, team work, etc.) are polished and then failing to highlight them during the interview.

Going into the interview prepared as well as being ready to provide examples of past performance around these much desired soft skills often is enough to move you up on the ?short list? of desirable candidates. Many interviewers don?t ask questions directly regarding these softer skills and all too often, candidates simply do not highlight this area during their interview.

So, what do you do to prepare to shine in these two critical areas? Being prepared for the interview means:

1.	Resume ? Bring extra copies of an up-to-date resume with you to hand to the interviewer; know what is on the resume and be able to speak about your experience without fumbling around or continually looking at your paper.

2.	Research the company ? Know what the company is all about, current events at the company; prepare a few relevant questions about the company as it relates to the position you are applying for.

3.	Prepare examples IN ADVANCE of your accomplishments and be able to speak about them clearly and easily.
correctional training

Try using one of ABC Loan Guide’s
Recommended Low Interest Credit Card Companies Online.

Read all the fine print before you take a low interest credit card. It is important to make sure that the card?s low interest rate is not an introductory offer that will go up after a predetermined amount of time. Perhaps the introductory rate is 4% but once you have had the card 6 months the rate is going to ascend to 26%. This can be very dangerous if you have an existing balance at the end of the 6 month introductory period, because suddenly your payment will take a substantial leap.

Tulsa-based StoneHenge Partners expands again

Journal Record, The (Oklahoma City), May 21, 2010 by D Ray Tuttle

StoneHenge Partners is taking significant steps to expand its business in information technology consulting, the company said on Friday.

The Tulsa-based IT consulting firm has appointed a new vice president, hired three developers and is recruiting to fill another six to eight positions in software development, business analysis, Web design, quality assurance and project management, said Mike Fletcher, president.

Last year at this time, StoneHenge said it was adding three people and expanded its services in four areas – technology solutions, strategic consulting, supplemental staffing and a new service, interactive marketing.

“Despite the expansion, 2009 was a lean year for information technology consulting companies in eastern Oklahoma,” Fletcher said. “But we are seeing a strong upturn in activity so far in 2010.”

Inquiries for potential engagements this year is triple the pace from last year, Fletcher said.

Today StoneHenge employs 25 consultants who are working on turnkey projects in its office or are engaged on projects at client sites, Fletcher said.

“StoneHenge is focused on technology, which we can achieve with a variety of clients in a variety of industries,” he said. “These are three clients for which we have pending engagements.”

The company, founded in 1999 and named for the famous site in England, is beginning Phase 3 of a multi-year project to develop a business-to-business e-commerce website. The company is in the design phase of a new website for a major Tulsa law firm, as well, Fletcher said.

“Clients tell us they really respond to our promise to deliver projects on time, on budget and on target,” Fletcher said. “That has been the most common reason we have been approached for new work.”

Mike Rodebush has been appointed vice president of operations. He has more than 30 years of IT and operations experience, serving as IT director for Columbian Chemicals, Memorex Telex Corp and most recently Verizon Business.

Rodebush joined StoneHenge Partners in 2010 and his primary focus is professional services, where he has focused on refining StoneHenge’s operational processes and procedures as part of its Nimble development methodology. The Nimble method of software development is used by StoneHenge Partners to repeatedly deliver successful software development projects on time, on budget and on target.

The six to eight people that StoneHenge Partners is recruiting will meet a demand from several clients, such as:

 * A business-to-business equipment distributor is preparing to build an industry-best website with e-commerce, e-marketing, e- learning, and content management in a multi-tier environment.

 * An entrepreneurial startup is preparing to build an innovative client-management application to track patient records for government assistance programs.

 * A children’s website publisher is preparing for a creative approach to reach its target audience with new features.

“All these projects and more are in the pipeline for StoneHenge Partners,” Fletcher said. “We need business analysts who can interpret clients’ needs at both a strategic and tactical level
tulsa web design

Think of it this way, the interviewer has just dug your resume out of a pile and left their desk to meet you in the reception area. Their mind, however, is still on the last problem that just appeared in their email. They don?t want to look unprepared by re-reading your resume in front of you, so their intent is to ask you a basic question that reminds them about your credentials and experience.

So give ?em what they want! You know that there is a high probability that this question will be asked, so there is no excuse for not having an appropriate answer prepared. Before the interview, scrutinize the job description and your experience. What experiences have you had that are most relevant to the position you are applying for? It?s OK to even reuse the material on your cover letter as a springboard for the discussion (though don?t be obnoxious by impatiently saying ?as I stated on my cover letter,? be respectful of the interviewer?s heavy workload and memory). At this time in the interview, you don?t need to go into your experiences in-depth, but think of your answer to this question as the trailer to a feature film about your career.

Your intent is to remind the interviewer about your experiences that brought you to be qualified for the job you are applying for.
career advice
